Full Moon Paddles
Friday, October 22, 2010: Great Salt Lake
Bring your own SUP or rent one from us! $10/hour – Kayakers and canoers are welcome to join us!
Meet at 6:30 pm, Bring a Head Lamp and a Life Jacket or borrow one from us!
Utah Boating Law States: Vessels on water after sunset must have signal lights. If you are 12 or younger, by law you must be wearing a life jacket; if you are 13 or older you must either be wearing a life jacket or have one on your stand up paddle surf board. All rental boards come with a life jacket and a head lamp for night paddling.
Safety First! We use the buddy system and pair up on the water; we file a float plan; we do a head count before and after all night paddles; we paddle close to shore (high winds can surface at any time – it is better to be close to shore than out in the middle of a lake when the wind picks up).
Directions: I-80 to Exit #104 (Saltair Dr.), Follow signs (2 miles) to enter Great Salt Lake State Marina
Parking: $2/car (free if you have a UT State Parks Pass)
